All kids have it in them to be happy and successful. As they grow into the tween (ages 10-12) and teen years, children face new experiences, opportunities, and challenges. Wouldn’t it be wonderful for them to already have the resiliency tools they need to make the most out of each new situation when it arises!
Tweens Leadership is a personal and group leadership program designed exclusively for students in grades 6-9. Tween Leadership takes Leadership FUN-damentals to a new level with more tools and skills for teamwork, cooperation, and working towards a common goal. Leadership is a valuable skill that all children can learn.
Through group activities and projects, students discover their own leadership potential and style. By acting as group leader and as peer team member for various tasks, each participant will have many opportunities to lead and to practice strong leadership skills.
In this program, young people learn:
- confidence building
- self-motivation
- asserting yourself
- public speaking
- active listening
- team problem solving
- cooperation
- teamwork
- project management
- creating and working toward a common goal
- good stewardship
- and more!
Tween Leadership provides young people with the skills, awareness, and practice to become happy, successful and effective members of any group.
Students love the interactive, hands-on approach. They enjoy learning through peer discussion and by practically applying what they have learned.
Students learn how to harness their full potential in Tween Leadership.
Every student will have opportunities to lead discussion groups, brain storming sessions, project work and games.
The students will also learn about the importance and qualities of being a good team member and have multiple opportunities to support a peer leader and their team.
All children have the makings of being a great leader; they just need the training and practice to develop it.
